it´s easy, all you have to do is gate crash your sons unofficial A-Level graduation party 🙂
We were at a friend’s birthday party and, to be honest, I wasn´t in the mood. It was her 40th party and my 42nd birthday the following day. It was stifling hot and I did the unspeakable – I wore cut off jeans and sandals (normally, I will not be seen dead in either one, fat legs and all that ;-)).
We had a drink, or two or three, and my husband suggested to gate crash the graduation party which the kids had organized to take place in a huge hanger in the middle of nowhere. Said and done, we got dropped off at the gate just after midnight. It took a while to find our eldest, he was standing with a couple of friends AND tutors. Mr Crazybunny wore his sunglasses and walked past him, greeting him casually while Crazybunny herself, slightly tipsy to say the least, stood behind her son, jumping up and down singing “Happy Birthday to me” 😉
It was great, once my son got over the initial shock, we danced the remainder of the night away and about 10 of us ended up walking the ~ 5 miles home at seven in the morning, taking an unscheduled “loo-stop” at one of the kids parents house in the process.
Needless to say, my birthday party was duly postponed but my FB friends list increased dramatically afterwards 🙂
