Isn´t it sad?

Would you believe it – my hometown and surrounding area now has been on the TV news TWICE. Why?

Not because of some heroic act.

Not because my local community is particularly clever or rich or special in any way.

NO – we have had our own RAPIST twice!!!!!

One who lived and, unfortunately, raped 3 women here, but luckily got caught and sentenced!!

And now one that has been released from prison far far away from here and decided it would be a treat for him and us to move in with his sibling.

Great!!!!!!! I mean, what more can you ask for, he has refused treatment (according to newspaper reports AND our mayor who made it public in the first place, bless him, he must have known that political life would never be the same for him, although, if he´s still in politics by the next election then – rest assured, he will have loads of votes).

This convicted rapist is  considered a high risk to others but – unfortunately and apparently for legal reasons, there is no way he can be kept in a special secure place after having served his sentence now and everyone here is  paying a high price of fear and insecurity. I mean what are we supposed to do – suspend life until further notice? Stop our children from playing outside? Take the car instead of walking to the shops now if it gets dark?  And to top it all, some politicians are now trying to turn this whole mess  into their advantage, I mean come on, is that necessary? Haven´t we got enough to deal with instead of having to worry about some stupid political group that is talking about death penalty and “if you´d voted for us this would never have happened, let´s not make the same mistake again”.

How about let´s try and find a calm solution to this mess, not that anything we think will make the slightest difference anyway.

Here´s hoping he´ll get fed-up with the media attention and moves away somewhere to a deserted island far far away from anyone he might be able to harm otherwise.
